Both the Hastings Campus football team, and Chichester University observed a minute’s silence yesterday to pay their respects to the people who were killed during the Paris terrorist attacks.
The French capital was rocked by seven co-ordinated attacks on Friday night by members of jihadi terrorist organisation ISIS, most notably at the Stade de France football stadium, which was hosting a friendly between France and Geramny, and the Bataclan concert hall, where 89 people were killed.
Police in France are still trying to find the people that orchestrated the attacks and have carried out a number of raids in Paris, the latest of which saw 8 people arrested and two killed, including Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the suspected ringleader of the attacks.
And prior to their 2-1 defeat to title rivals Chichester, the two sides fell silent to honour the memory of the innocent lives that have been taken.
